Sriti Jha (born February 26, 1986) is an Indian television actress, Who appears in the Indian Soap Opera. She rose to prominence with her roles in the Shows Jiya Jale, Jyoti, Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava?, Balika Vadhu and Kumkum Bhagya. She garnered the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role for portraying the character of Pragya Abhishek Mehra in Zee TV's soap opera Kumkum Bhagya.

Early Life
Jha was born on 26 February 1986in Bihar, India. She came to live with her family in Kolkata and stayed for 10 years in Kolkata and then went to Kathmandu. Then they shifted to New Delhi, where she continued her studies in Laxman Public School.She completed her Bachelor of arts in English from Sri Venkateshwara College,[New Delhi.
During her college days, she joined the Verbum, an English dramatics society in Delhi in 2004 and after few years, she became the president of this society. She got her first lead role in a Verbum play Ritual In Blood and won the Best Actor award in Delhi University dramatics circuit for her performance.

Career
Jha made her debut with the role of Malini Sharma in the Disney India's teen drama Dhoom Machaao Dhoom. in 2007.Her first Serial as Main Female Lead was Jiya Jale where she played the role of Sunaina Kotak.Later,Sriti is also a trained Dancer,She has participated in a Dance class show named Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan. In 2009 She Played the role of the queen in Shaurya Aur Suhani.
She rose to prominence with the serial Jyoti on NDTV Imagine as Sudha Sharma as a Split personality Patient. She portrayed the role of victim of domestic violence in Dil Se Di Dua...Saubhagyavati bhava?. She played the role of a blind girl in Rakt Sambandh. She Played the role of Ganga in Popular serial Balika Vadhu, later she quit the show.
Since 2014, she has portrayed the character of Pragya Abhishek Mehra, Practical,Hard working and Simple Women who marries a Rockstar in Ekta Kapoor's Show Kumkum Bhagya opposite Shabir Ahluwalia. Her portrayal of Pragya won her many awards and nominations such as the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role, Aadhi Aabadi Women Achiever Award and 6th GR8 Women Awards ME 2016. In 2015, she received Best Stylish Beti Award from Television Style Award. In 2016, she received 3 awards at Zee Rishtey Awards. In 2018 she received Zee Gold Award Best Actress (Popular) Female.
She also received 2 Bollystar Vazana Awards from Indonesia for her Performance in Lonceng Cinta(Dubbed Version of Kumkum Bhagya in (Indonesian Language).
Other work
In 2018 she also became a story teller. Her love for books made her a guest story teller in Books on toast.
Describing her love for books in her Instagram post, Sriti said "The most important thing in life is to be a good person because everything else is secondary. If you force books on people you're taking away the fun from reading. Kids should do different things. Let's bring up individuals and not herds. Let them play sports, read, invent and re-invent. Let us be a motley crowd."
